512 c.i. stroker with forged internals and twin Paxton superchargers? Check. Ties to NHRA history? it’s got that, too. The want is strong, but the ability to acquire is weak.

Put a farking price on it!
“Reasonable offers considered” is total crap. It’s Craigslist not Barrett Jackson.

Agree, but I guarantee whatever that price is will be well beyond anything I can hope to afford.

Good point. It may be worth $300k. But the whole “I’m selling but not putting a price on it” is total crap. For anything.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see that on Counting Cars soon.

Man, I would love to have that, that’s such a cool truck. I hate the reasonable offer thing though because I would have no idea where to start, I’d probably offend the guy.

Usually I’ll try to get them to give me a ballpark estimate of what they’re hoping to get. It’s still b.s. to not list a price, though.

I agree, especially when the owner touts all of the history of the vehicle. You’ve got no idea how much they value that history at so you have no idea where to start.

I agree that is crap. But at the end of the day, the seller is doing himself a disservice. I’m sure potential customers have walked away because of the lack of price and their inability to propose one. While I understand it is a rare and historical truck, there is no way it is worth $300k or close to it. The seller needs to post a somewhat reasonable asking price so potential buyers know what they are looking to get for it. Personally, and call me a lowballer, but I would guestimate the value around $8-11k. I’d be curious to hear an opinion from someone knowledgeable in trucks of this vintage.
